Die Hard (1988) is a Christmas Movie

I thought I made a come out to the coast joke, but I can't find it now.

My wife and I are on our way to our (apparently yearly, since this is at least the second in a row in a theater, and I think fourth or fifth overall) Christmas Die Hard screening.

I'm trying to remember if I read the book. I know I read the first one, but not sure if I did the second, which is what the move is based on.

Anyway, time for me to take on the time tested internet topic and say that Die Hard is definitely a Christmas movie:

1. The heart warming holiday theme of a man reconciling with his family. Which apparently does not succeed off screen. Oh well. We can just pretend the rest of the movies didn't happen, none of them are as good anyway.

2. A Christmas-tastic sound track including: Christmas In Hollis, Let It Snow, and Ode To Joy (definitely a Christmas song. Also in the Kamfper Christmas episode)

3. Christmas is relevant to the plot. Both the Christmas party and the fact that most things are closed down for the holiday are important.

4. Ho Ho Ho... Now I have a machine gun. (And all the Christmas decorations.)

Definitely team Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
